Finding a quiet apartment –

This morning I heard the noise of a crane and I started to worry. "Don’t tell me it’s going to happen again," I thought. It is funny or maybe tragic that every time we move to an apartment because there is a park in front of it and we could see trees from the balcony that block the noise of people and traffic, the park gets torn up to build a parking lot or something a month after we move in. Or, we move to an apartment because there is nobody living above it but a family with two young kids moves in above us three weeks later. The water company we live next to is a unique place in the city because there are trees and water fountains in their open space, and because they have to protect the water so they let the grass and trees grow. People who live next to it can hear all the bugs, birds, and frogs all day long. I hear the water and birds and pretend I’m in a countryside hut and seldom go out. Therefore, finding a place with reasonable rent where you can avoid the noise of people and traffic is a fairy tale and is a huge challenge and we just moved to this apartment next to the water company four months ago. I have to pray that we can stay here longer.
